Introduction to Basketry - Learn to make a muffin basket
Nancy Kalos, Wesleyan Potters
Introduction to Basketry, perfect for new basket weavers.
This class will meet once a week for three weeks.
Begin exploring the world of basketry by weaving a rattan basket that measures 7 1/2" long, 5" wide, 6" high. You will practice several weaving techniques including upsetting, twining, shaping, and finishing. You will have the option to add a handle provided by the instructor.
A material fee of $15 is payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
Tools for making the basket will be provided by the instructor for use during the class.
