Daffodil Days with Tea at Blithewold

 

An American Garden Treasure, Bristol, RI

Overlooking the Narragansett Bay, Blithewold is one of the finest garden estates in New England.  Late April to Early May, Blithewold opens its gates to welcome visitors just as springtime begins.  Their famous display covers the 33-acre seaside estate with over 50,000 daffodils.  Your visit includes a guided tour of the garden and magnificent 45 room Mansion that was lived in by the Van Wickle/McKee family for over 80 years.  The estate features grand views of Narragansett Bay and is filled with family heirlooms.

Begin your visit at Blithewold with a lovely Tea Lunch on the heated porch.  Sample menu:  Scones, Finger Sandwiches, Mini Quiche, Desserts, Tea.

 

Please note:  The first floor of the Mansion and the grounds (gravel paths) are accessible, however; there is no elevator to the second floor.
