Description

In these 4 classes you will be introduced to the Mountain or Lap Dulcimer.  It is the easiest 3 stringed instrument to learn for ages 10 to senior.   Dulcimers will be provided for in-class instruction for 8 students.   If you have your own please bring to class.  Learn to play (by number) dulcimer favorites like Old Joe Clark & Bile Them Cabbage Down; in addition to:  This Land is Your Land, Oh Susanna, Amazing Grace, and more.  Skills to be covered:  Tuning, Reading Tab (sheet music), Strumming, Flat Picking, Hammer-on's, Pick-offs, Harmonics, & Chords.  Hand-outs will be given in class.
