Description

Slow down and enjoy the art of traditional quilt-making.  Perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to learn hand-piecing, you will sew a small quilt (size approx. 12" x 16"), entirely stitched by hand.

You will learn hand-piecing stitches, seam allowances, and piecing simple blocks.  Next learn how to layer your top, batting, and backing to construct a class “quilt sandwich,” before finishing your mini quilt with hand-tying and sewing a neat, durable binding.

Tips on thread selection, basting techniques, and pressing hand-pieced seams will be discussed.  Materials fee of $38 payable to instructor first night of class.
