Description

Discover the beautiful art of hand appliqué in this relaxed workshop.  Whether you are new to stitching or looking to refine your technique, you will learn how to turn fabric shapes into beautifully detailed textile art using traditional hand-sewing methods.  You will learn to prepare templates and transferring designs onto fabric,  basting and positioning the appliqué pieces accurately before stitching. Learn stitching techniques (invisible blind stitches and. Smooth curves by hand).  You will leave class with a sample block and the confidence to add appliqué details to quilts, wall hangings, and other handmade projects.  All levels welcome.  Materials fee of $15 payable to instructor night of class.
