Description
Introduction to Astronomy
Jason Archer and John Mezsaros, astronomers and educators.
This is for stargazers and those who like to ponder the mysteries of the universe. Using the planetarium for adults and older teens, this series will present an introduction to planetary stellar and galactic astronomy as well as introduce a basic understanding of our night sky and the many celestial objects found within.

Evolution of Stars
Learn about the life cycle of stars. How do they form? How do they change over time? And how do they end? We will learn about the different types of stars such as blue giants, red dwarfs, and yellow stars similar to our own. We will look at the stars that vary in brightness and how these celestial objects enabled us to measure the size of the universe.
The Planetarium is located at the: Glastonbury East Hartford Magnet School, 95 Oak Street, Glastonbury.
Enter at the main school entrance. The planetarium entrance is just inside to the left. Doors will open at 6:30 pm
Please Note: You must arrive 6:30-6:45 pm, as class starts promptly at 7:00 pm after which the planetarium doors are closed. They cannot accept late arrivals.
